|Jamaica||: Worthy Park distillery, pot still, unaged|
|Jamaica||: Clarendon distillery, pot still, unaged|
The largest component in the blend is the 8 year old Foursquare with the Panama and Jamaica rums bringing spice, fruit and more even more backbone to the blend.
Tamosi was designed to be perfectly balanced and can be best enjoyed neat or alternatively in your favorite cocktail. No flavour enhancing additives were used in the blending or bottling of this rum.
The name Tamosi comes from the Carib name Tamosi Kabotano, meaning “ancient one of the skyland”. Tamosi was said to have created the earth and all the living things upon it. Our first rum tells the story of the only known interaction between Tamosi and the Carib people. As a brand we aim to give people an insight into the history of the Caribbean through the eyes of its original people. The earliest traces of human life in the region date back to 9000 bc, and the stories told on our bottles are thought to be thousands of years old.
As with all of our rums, we use no flavour enhancing additives in the blending and bottling of our rum.
Tamosi is named for the Carib creator Tamosi Kabotano, which translates as “Ancient one of the skyland”, who created the earth and everything upon it. The Carib people, who believed themselves also to have come from the skyland, found Tamosi to be an absent creator, often leaving their pleas for help unanswered.
